Italian restaurants, sub shops, calzone counters and Italian delis sit next to the pizzerias on this site because most of them bake pizza too, often from the same dough. Full-service Italian restaurants take reservations for dinner, add a tip line for table service (15-20% is customary) and usually run a cheaper lunch menu on weekdays. Sub and sandwich shops are counter-order and quick, with sizes by the inch or in half and whole lengths. Calzones and strombolis are priced like a medium pizza and are large enough to share. Italian delis and bakeries sell by weight and by the piece, and many close mid-afternoon.

Chicago is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Chicago follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Roger and his wife Joan are such a gem in the city of Chicago. They are so wonderful and involved in the best details of the food and experience. My favorite Italian restaurant is right here. They have indoor and outdoor seating and the ambience is just perfect. There's a lot of outdoor seating and you should enjoy it before the weather gets cold here. But the best part of this place is that their chef is just perfect. I've had the best chicken Parmesan at this restaurant when I don't even eat chicken. I really enjoyed the linguine and clams because the clams are bountiful and the sauce is perfect with the garlic and olive oil. The portion sizes are great and the hospitality and staff are wonderful as well. There's free street parking so you have to find parking on the street in a residential neighborhood, which is very quiet. The linguine and clams are the best I ever had bc it has a ton of clams which makes it so so tasty and they are so generous with them and the garlic in the sauce is great too. The more garlic the better. Our waiter was Nicolas and he was quick, efficient, and friendly and did a great job. And they give kids free ice cream at the end and they also give everyo

I wish I could give this place 10 stars! Iβve never felt so welcome in a restaurant before. From the moment I walked in people were smiling, hugging, and sharing food and conversation. We started with roasted garlic and bread, and it was fantastic. The garlic was perfectly smooth and the bread was so fluffy. We shared a 10β pizza as a started and it was super cheesy, the crust was crispy but not too thin, it was great to share or would have made a great entree. Somehow the dinner salad was drenched in dressing and still crunchy (chefβs kiss). I ordered meatballs and lasagna. Let me tell you Iβve never had a lasagna that was so stuffed with meat and cheese in my life! It was amazing! I ate it for 2 and a half days. My friend got the chicken marsala. It was so good that we ordered another to take back to Arkansas with us. The tiramisu was the perfect dessert to end the night. The lady fingers were soaked in what had to be the finest of coffee, and it filling was so creamy and dense but light at the same time! The owner (Pop Pop as I like to call him) is the sweetest man on earth! I will think about this meal for a very long time and I canβt wait to return. When youβre there youβre

This is a fantastic spot near the Pilsen neighborhood. I luv that its tucked inside a quaint area and their entrance is down a narrow alley that separates main dining room with their overflow. The owner was amazingly thoughtful and talkative as this was first time visit. That roasted garlic bulb with warm soft bread was a nice opener. Ordered their shrimp a la agnes in white wine sauce with garlic and large capers. The sauce was exceptional however, the shrimp was a bit overcooked. Still enjoyed the appetizer. They have a very good tavern style pizza on a chewy dough with crispy edges. Their tomatoe sauce is nicely seasoned with hints of sweetness. The sausage & pepperoni was some of the best, especially the fennel sausage. Lastly, they offered a complimentary pistachio ice cream with a chocolate covered cherry. A nice treat and the ice cream was silky and not too sweet, perfect imo!!! I will have to return to try their pasta offerings!

I love this place. My sisters/niece has been enjoying this place for you years. I decided to enjoy it with them thanks to my sister picking me up from the south suburbs. The food is on point; traditional family style Italian food that's seriously delicious. My next trip here I will try the pizza. All the reviews are on top. Please make your way here as soon as you can if you want some awesome Italian food!. The owner Roger, is a godsend. He constantly checks on you, and make sure everything is going great. He knows my family by name. I'm just going to add pictures of my food. I had the chicken marsala which was totally delicious. There was plenty of chicken. The wine sauce was so delicious that I started to lick the plate π. Just make your next visit here. You will totally enjoy the atmosphere and the food.

Fire! Awesome hidden gem! Great food, service and atmosphere. Family owned restaurant with the owners hands on making sure everything and everyone is taken care of.! Found this place online when looking for a restaurant close to UIC campus to celebrate a graduation. After looking at many places this seemed like one of the best options. Truly didnβt disappoint. From authentic Italian dishes to the seafood and mmm the steaks..! Good selection of drinks to wash it ALL down, lol. Thanks to Joan the owner and Mauricio our server for making my family feel at home. Suggest you valet park as parking is limited. Maybe make reservations. Looks like they have a party room for rent. 5 STARS ALL DAYβ¦!
